Description
A rare and early Doccia blue and white knife handle c.1750, the handle of faceted form with a curved terminal, decorated a stampino or a stampa with flower sprays, 21.8cm overall, the handle 8.5cm.
The a stampino designs at Doccia were developed during the factory's first period and are believed to have been developed using real flowers which were copied as cut-outs for the copper plates.
