Description

A mahogany balloon timepiece, 4 inch white enamel dial with arabic numerals, the circular backplate signed Gorham, Kensington, anchor escapement with long pendulum and holdfast, the case with crossbanding and ebonised stringing, circa 1830, 10½in (27cm) high.

James Gorham, Clockmaker to Queen Victoria, died 1842.
