A Chinese Canton enamel famille rose abstinence plaque 19th century, one side marked zhai jie in Chinese, the other with Manchu characters bolgomi karga within a border of scrolling peony and chrysanthemum on a purple ground, 5.6cm.
Provenance: from the collection of Luís Esteves Fernandes (1897-1988).
