Description
A large Chinese porcelain bitong six character Qianlong mark but 19th century, applied around the body with nine scaly five-clawed dragons with articulated white glazed eyes contesting pearls of wisdom amidst an intricate design of cloud scrolls and flames, the rim with interlocking ruyi, the foot with breaking waves, a hardwood stand, 21.5cm dia. (2)
Provenance: the Gerald Mere collection, and thence by descent.
