Description
A Victorian leather despatch box, the hinged lid with a sunken brass handle and with gilt tooled 'Crowned VR monograms' and with the initials 'I. O.' possibly for the India Office and 'W. N. S.', the brass lock inscribed 'JOHN POUND & CO., LONDON', 4¼in (10.7cm) high, 16in (40.5cm) wide, 8in (20.3cm) deep.
