Description
A silver Arts and Crafts bowl,
by W. Henry Warmington, London 1954,
circular form, spot-hammered decoration, rope-work border, on three bun feet with rope-work borders, diameter 23.8cm, approx. weight 18.5oz.
Harry Warmington started as a silversmith at the Campden School of Arts and
Crafts. He worked in the Hart workshop in the Silk Mill in Sheep Street from about 1914 until
1966. In 1946 he and George Hart revived the Campden School of Arts and Crafts,
which had closed in 1916, and he taught there very successfully until 1967.
