Description

A rare commemorative firing glass late 18th/early 19th century, the bowl engraved 'Duncan For Ever' and raised on a short plain stem above a stepped foot, 9.2cm.
This glass commemorates Lord Viscount Duncan, whose victory against the Dutch at Camperdown in October 1797 was the most significant battle between the Dutch and the English during the French Revolutionary Wars.
