A Meissen teabowl and saucer c.1730, painted in Schwartzlot with scenes of merchants and traders loading and unloading ships in a harbour scene, within elaborate cartouches in in gilt and purple, surmounted by small Chinese figures, the inside of the teabowl with a spray of indianische Blumen, blue crossed swords mark, gilt J., 12.7cm.
