Description
A Chinese blue and white ovoid jar Kangxi 1662-1722, painted with a continuous design depicting dense grape vines, bamboo issuing from rockwork and with many squirrels clambering upon the vines and fruit, paper collection label, a hardwood cover carved with prunus and a hardwood stand, 21.4cm. (3)
Provenance: from the collection of Brodie and Enid Lodge of Flore House, Northamptonshire, and thence by descent. Formerly the collection of Sir John Wormald.
