Mrs. Sparrow was the only daughter of Thomas Popham Esq. and Sara of Bagborough House, Somerset. Painted in 1766, appointments with Mrs. Sparrow are recorded in Reynolds' Accounts Books for May, 14th-19th. A payment of 35 gns. is recorded in the Ledgers on 6th June 1767
