Description
A carved amethyst quartz dog's head bonbonnière, probably German, mid 18th century. With cabochon amethyst eyes and gold strapwork muzzle. The gold mounted hinged cover carved with a recumbent stag, 7cm high. Bearing early 19th century French control mark.
Damaged and missing a section to the left of the mouth.
