A large Meissen deep dish c.1730-40, decorated with the Bamberg pattern of a large insect in flight above flowering branches, the rim with an iron red band of scrolling leaves and four chrysanthemum motifs, blue crossed swords and K mark perhaps for Johann David Kretschmar, incised Z to footrim, 29.3cm.
