Description

A large Mortlake (Kishere) brown stoneware hunting jug c.1797, sprigged with a panel of two boors drinking either side of a barrel, with further applications of Classical figures, trees and a windmill above a hunting scene of hounds after a fox, with silver mount to the rim with hallmarks for London, 1797 and maker's mark IT perhaps for Joseph Taconet, 28cm.
