Description
A Chinese rectangular white jade plaque 19th century, one side carved in relief with a scene of lovers from The Romance of the Western Chamber, the reverse with a poem, suspended from an amber bead on a wood frame, the plaque 6.4cm, 14cm overall.
Provenance: purchased in Hong Kong in 1964, by repute.
