Description
A Japanese black lacquer cabinet, with engraved gilt metal mounts and hinges the doors decorated a watery landscape enclosing five long drawers, the sides with carrying handles, on an associated George II giltwood stand, the Greek key frieze fitted a drawer to a shell and leaf carved apron on cabriole legs and carved pad feet, 119.8cm high, 65.8cm wide, 37cm deep.
Provenance: The Old Rectory, Little Langford, Wiltshire. Sold by order of Trustees of the Estate of the late Miss S.F. Rooke.
