Description
The defence of Ostend, Dutch silver jeton, 1602, struck in Middelbourg, a portico defended by a hand from heaven with sword, יְהֹוָה above, 16 - 02, FORTIS ARMATVS CVSTODIT ATRIVM, rev., central shield of Zeeland with seven others around, LVCTOR ET EMERGO, 30.5mm (MI 178/179; vL I, 547; Dugn. 3530). Extremely fine and rare.
