William III, the Battle of La Hogue, German silver medal, 1692, by Georg Hautsch, laureate and armoured bust of William III to right, rev., naval engagement between several ships, NVNC PLVRIBVS IMPAR, lettered edge, SIC PHAETHONTÆO TANDEM MARE SVFFICIT IGNI, 40mm (MI 59/258; MH 95; Eim. 348). Single small scratch to obverse otherwise extremely fine and richly toned.
