A Victorian papier-mâché writing slope, inlaid with mother of pearl and decorated with gilt highlights, the hinged lid with a painted panel of figures before a cathedral on a moonlit night, the interior with a plush lined writing slope and with a pen tray and a brass and glass inkwell, 9.3cm high, 31.8cm wide, 26cm deep.
