Description

A pair of natural pearl and diamond drop earrings by Cartier, the drop shaped pearls suspend from an articulated row of graduated platinum conical mounts set with small diamonds. Suspending from a baguette shaped diamond and a larger old circular cut diamond. Signed Cartier and indistinctly numbered S.-(6 or 0)63. With fitted Cartier box.

Family tradition holds that the earrings were purchased from Cartier by the current owner's great grandfather as a gift for his daughter in 1921.

Accompanied by report number 75788 dated 24th July 2014 from SSEF, Switzerland stating that the white drop-shaped half-drilled pearl measures 10.82 - 11.62 x 14.78mm, weighs 12.73ct (50.92 grains) and is a natural saltwater pearl.

Accompanied by report number 75789 dated 24th July 2014 from SSEF, Switzerland stating that the slightly cream drop-shaped half-drilled pearl measures 10.97 - 11.64 x 14.47mm, weighs 12.196ct (48.78 grains) and is a natural saltwater pearl.
