Description
A rare Chinese gilt bronze snuff bottle 18th/19th century, cast in relief with a five-clawed dragon, a pagoda and a fish amongst cloud scrolls, with waves crashing on rockwork beneath, all within bands of ruyi and key fret, the base with a three character mark which reads shen de tang, 7.1cm.
Provenance: from the estate of Johanna Joan Austin, member of the Oriental Ceramic Society 1975-2013.
