Description
A large Chinese cloisonné tripod incense burner and cover four character Qianlong mark but probably late Qing, the ovoid body decorated with a wide band containing an irregular key fret design above a circular panel of continuous scrolling lotus and acanthus to the base, the three robust legs with bands containing stylized taotie masks and C-scrolls, the rectangular handles with further masks, the cover with continuous scrolling leaf and taotie designs and surmounted by an elaborate gilt metal reticulated finial depicting a five-clawed dragon amidst clouds, 38.7cm.
