Description
A rare Chinese parcel-gilt hexagonal-section silver teapot and cover Kangxi 1662-1722, the lobed body with six panels cast in relief depicting small figures, pagodas, flowers, trees and birds, the handle modelled as a gnarled branch, the spout as a tapering section of bamboo, the neck with Buddhist emblems above a band of gilt ruyi-heads, the cover surmounted by a gilt Buddhist lion dog, unmarked, 18cm.
