Description
A large Chinese Neolithic vase c.2000 BC, the ovoid body tapering to the footrim and with lug handles, painted in red and black pigments with spirals, the centre of each with a rhomboid checkered design and with triangular motifs beneath, the cylindrical neck with waves, 39cm.
Provenance: purchased in Hong Kong c.1990.
