Description
A small Chinese Longquan celadon marriage bowl Song dynasty 960-1279 AD, moulded with two scaly fish to the well, the flared body rising to a flattened rim, the reverse with lobes radiating from the foot, 13.3cm.
Provenance: formerly the collection of Sir Geoffrey Shakerley, given by him to the current owner's parents as a marriage gift. Purchased from John Sparks, by repute.
