A large pair of Chinese famille rose vases and covers 19th century, the hexagonal bodies decorated with a multitude of birds, perched in bamboo, prunus, peony and other trees within a fenced garden and with insects in flight above, the shoulder painted with lobed panels of birds on a foliate ground, the covers surmounted by a seated maiden, raised on modern hardwood stands, 64cm.
