*A large rare Chinese famille rose birthday dish six character Qianlong seal mark in iron-red and of the period 1736-95, the shallow body rising to a wide everted rim, pierced with circular reticulation conjoined in iron-red link designs between bands of floral sprays and trefoil florets, painted to the interior with a central geometric panel, with four similar panels around it, all encircled by elaborate foliate lotus scrolls and a border of leaves, the reverse similarly decorated and with a band of key fret to the flaring footrim, the base glazed turquoise, 39cm.
