Description

A Chinese hardwood travelling vanity chest 19th century, the hinged cover opening to reveal a mirror above an arrangement of variously sized drawers, with two further hinged compartments extending to the sides, each carved with curling acanthus leaves, the cover applied to the exterior with mother of pearl, ivory, soapstone and hardstones depicting figures, birds and animals, carrying handles to the sides, 22cm x 38.5cm x 28cm.
