A silver-mounted desk set early 20th century, the base a Chinese famille rose lobed bowl painted with a magpie amongst peony, mounted with a silver ink well surrounded by other writing apparatus, decorated with long-tailed birds amongst flowers, punch marks beneath the vesta case, probably for Maison Maquet of Paris, 20.5cm.
