A Staffordshire pearlware arbour group, of a seated couple before pine cone bocage, raised on a scroll moulded base, early 19th century, 20cm. Cf. P. Halfpenny, English Earthenware Figures, p.253 where a similar group is illustrated which is sometimes titled 'Perswasion'.
