A Worcester heart-shaped dessert dish c.1770, richly decorated in the Kakiemon palette with the Phoenix pattern, two of the long-tailed mythical birds in flight or perched on corn stooks and amidst flowering chrysanthemum, within elaborate gilt and red chain and hatched borders, 26cm.
