A good Longton Hall shaped spoon tray, painted in polychrome by the 'Castle Painter', with a young man and woman beneath a tree before a church by a river, c.1755, 17.5cm. Max. Cf. B Watney, Longton Hall Porcelain, fig.65a for a similar example.
