Description

λ A 19th century French rosewood and brass mounted toilet box, the hinged lid with a vacant plaque and fitted with a silk pouch and a mirror, above five glass jars and bottles with engine turned silver lids each with a monogram, and with two lift-out trays with steel and ivory handled utensils above a leather lined compartment fitted with brush boxes, compartments and an associated ivory shoe horn and a comb, the hinged fall front stamped with maker's mark 'A.C. PARIS' revealing a plush lined drawer with four divisions, the base with a leather trade label for 'A. CHRISTOPHE RUE DU TEMPLE 33 PARIS', 23.6cm high, 30cm wide, 23.5cm deep, together with its original leather travelling case and with five travel labels removed from the case.
