λ A good 19th century Anglo-Indian ivory and sadeli work box, Bombay, with ebony stringing, decorated overall with panels of geometric parquetry, the fitted interior with a lift-out tray with lidded compartments, pots and covers, bobbins, a thimble, a sadeli needle case and other sewing utensils, on bun feet, 12cm high, 32.3cm wide, 23cm deep, together with a silk embroidered cover for the box and contained within a pine travelling box, the lid inscribed 'Mrs Sheppee's Work Box'.
