Description

λ A 19th century Ceylonese macassar ebony workbox, of scalloped outline, the interior with inlay to the underside of the lid with an ivory elephant within a band of flowers above a lift-out tray with eleven lidded compartments, the lids inlaid with tortoiseshell, ivory and rosewood with engraved decoration, 11.5cm high, 30.5cm wide, 19.8cm deep.
