A Nymphenburg coffee pot and cover c.1780, painted with an ikat textile pattern, sometimes known as a chintz pattern, impressed shield mark, a little restoration to the finial and handle terminal, 15.5cm. (2)
This type of fabric-inspired pattern is listed in the factory price list of 1792 as 'en taffent geflammt'.
