A NEPALESE GILT METAL AND JEWELLED PANEL
LATE 19TH CENTURY
Decorated with a central shrine containing two figures, flanked by four acolytes, the surface and frame applied with scrolling gilt wire and inset with glass, red coral and turquoise beads, the reverse inscribed 'Kathmandu, Agusto 1961, Vito Magliocco', 52.5cm x 42cm.
Provenance: formerly in the collection of Vito Magliocco.
Vito Magliocco was a poet, writer and traveller, who published India, Da Zero All'finito (1961).
