A PAIR OF CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE BOTTLE VASES
15TH CENTURY
The globular bodies with rectangular handles to the neck, painted with a central panel of scrolling foliate designs, the flaring foot with a band of ruyi-heads, the neck with stiff leaves above key fret, paper collection labels, 20cm. (2)
Provenance: from the collection of Brodie and Enid Lodge of Flore House, Northamptonshire, and thence by descent. Formerly the collection of George Eumorfopoulos Esq., purchased from Sotheby & Co., 29th May 1940, The Eumorfopoulos Collections, lot 226.
