A CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE VASE AND COVER
QING DYNASTY
Carved in shallow relief with a continuous scrolling peony design, a band of lappets extending from the rim, the shoulder with two leaf-shaped handles, the cover surmounted by a cloud, 19.8cm. (2)
Provenance: from the collection of Robert Frederick Hathaway (d.1991) of Cape Town, South Africa, collected 1970s-1990.
