TWO CHINESE JADEITE VASES AND COVERS
QING DYNASTY
One carved in shallow relief with archaistic designs, the other with a chilong, Buddhist lion dogs, a pearl of wisdom and a jue vessel, the latter's cover joined by a link chain, 11.2cm. (3)
Provenance: from the collection of Robert Frederick Hathaway (d.1991) of Cape Town, South Africa, collected 1970s-1990.
