Description

A late-17th century West-Country silver Lace-back Trefid spoon,

by John Peard II, Barnstable circa 1685,

the terminal and reverse of the bowl with lace-back scroll decoration, the oval bowl also with a ribbed rat-tail, the reverse of the terminal prick-dot initialled, 'E*B' over 'E*W' '1685', length 20.5cm, approx. weight 1.7oz.
