A George IV mahogany Davenport, the forward sliding top with a partitioned interior to sliding tray and lidded compartments, the galleried back with a central handle, sliding to reveal ink and pen compartments, the sides with further pen and ink compartments to a divided frieze drawer, the front with false drawer, the side doors enclosing four drawers with sunken brass handles, the right side with a shelf, Bramah locks, 36.5in (92.6cm) h, 20.75in (52.7cm) w, 21.5in (54.5cm) d. The drawer linings are either mahogany or cedar, many of the compartments having loose leather covered covers.
