Description
A Victorian burr walnut and brass writing box by Parkins & Gotto, the hinged lid with a vacant plaque above an inset gilt tooled leather panel to the underside of the lid, originally with pen holders above divisions for stationery and with three drawers and a slide-out pen tray and inkwell compartments, with a hinged writing slope with a leather gilt tooled surface, with maker's plaque 'PARKINS & GOTTO, OXFORD ST. LONDON', with a brass Bramah lock, with brass side handles, 28.3cm high, 2.3cm wide, 23cm deep.
