Description

An important natural pearl and diamond pendant, the large pearl weighs 44.30cts and is set in an articulated chandelier-style mount, millegrain-set overall with cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds. 5cm long.

Accompanied by report number 11632 dated 5th August 2015 from The Gem and Pearl Laboratoy, London stating that part-drilled pearl measures 17.4 - 18.3mm x 18 - 20mm, weighs 44.30cts and is a natural saltwater pearl.

Accompanied by report number 77562 dated 27th November 2014 from SSEF, Switzerland stating that the pearl weighs 44.30ct (including metal lining) and is slightly baroque, button-shaped and twice half-drilled. It is slightly cream in colour with rosé and green overtones and is a natural saltwater pearl.

Also accompanied by an appendix letter from SSEF stating that the pearl exhibits a very impressive size and weight of 177.20 grains (including metal lining) combined with a very fine pearl lustre and a smooth pearl surface. The pearl shows an attractive slightly cream colour with rosé and greenish overtones, referred to as the 'orient of pearls'. Such overtones are due to an irridescence effect caused on the surface of pearls and contribute greatly to their beauty. A natural pearl of such an important size and fine quality is very rare and exceptional.
