A LARGE AND RARE CHINESE LACQUERED WOOD FIGURE OF A BODHISATTVA

14TH CENTURY

Seated in dhyanasana with both arms raised, adorned with elaborate jewellery and a headdress, a shawl draped across the shoulders, the face framed by elongated earlobes, with a serene expression and downcast eyes, 50.7cm.
