A LARGE CHINESE LANDSCAPE PAINTING ON SILK AFTER JU RAN
18TH CENTURY
In ink and colour, depicting an extensive mountain landscape with waterfalls, with two figures seated beneath a central tall pine tree, inscribed with extensive calligraphy in various styles to the image and margins, and with numerous seals, 186cm x 89cm.
Provenance: formerly in a private Canadian collection, Montreal. Purchased in 1966 at the Gurie Gallery, Montreal.
