A CHINESE COPPER-RED GLAZED STEM BOWL
18TH CENTURY
The U-shaped bowl raised on a tall flaring foot, decorated to the exterior with a rich copper-red glaze, the interior glazed white and with a six character Xuande mark within concentric bands, 9.5cm high.
Provenance: from the collection of Anthony Du Boulay, purchased from Christie's, 16th April 1980, lot 65 for £800. Formerly the collection of G de Menasce, sold at Spink, Part I, May 1971, no.208.
