A rare pair of Elizabeth I silver Maidenhead spoons,
by Richard Orenge, Sherborne, circa 1580,
tapering faceted stems, gilded finials, length 16cm and 16.3cm, approx. weight 2.5oz. (2)
Provenance: purchased at Sotheby's New York, Silver, Portrait Miniatures and Objects of Vertu, November 7th 1996, lot 38.
