Description
A late Louis XVI ormolu mantel clock, the case attributed to Nicolas Bonnet, the convex white enamel dial signed 'Gille L'aine a Paris', Roman hours and outer Arabic minute ring, pierced gilt hands, the silk suspension movement in a drum case flanked by two Turkish warriors with spears resting above military trophies, the shaped ebonized base inset with ormolu plaques and corner lion masks, on claw feet, 46cm high.
