Description

A George II gold and green enamel aide-mémoire, of rectangular form and open topped with vacant pencil compartment and the other containing a 1789 silk-bound Almanack. The fine deep green guilloche enamel sides each centred with a glazed navette-shaped locket and applied with a seed pearl P beneath a baron's coronet and AP beneath a baron's coronet to the other side and both within seed pearl borders. The P probably stands for Pelham. Both sides with cracked enamel. 8.3cm high, 81g.
