A CHINESE ORANGE SILK SKIRT IN THE FORM OF A PAIR OF APRONS

19TH CENTURY

Finely embroidered in gold and green with panels depicting two phoenix amongst peony flowers and butterflies, all above waves and clouds, bordered in blue with continuous bands of peony, prunus and other flowers, reserved on an orange ground decorated with Buddhist emblems and bats, 104cm long.
